A few days ago, our Gizmo watch 1.0 faded to black and we're unable to get the screen to display. Incoming calls can still be received, it still seems to get texts (though you can't read them) and it sure as heck beeps for random reasons (and I struggle to turn it off).
I tried a hard reset - deleted it from the Gizmo Hub app. It restarted and the screen worked long enough for me to pair it and configure it. But then a few hours later - black screen again.
We took it in to a Verizon store, where they told us that it was out of warranty, so we were out of luck.
I also spent time on a Facebook Messenger chat with Verizon support, where after going through a hard reset again (with same results), I was told the watch was out of warranty, so there was nothing that could be done.
Just wondering if anyone else has dealt with this issue, and how you resolved it? We're close to the point where we were going to give our child a phone anyway, and this may accelerate the decision (though we'd rather keep the watch a little longer).
