Home Phone Connect blinking red light

The battery in my almost four year-old Home Phone Connect stopped keeping a charge. Verizon doesn't sell batteries for my unit so I had to get one from an after-market seller. The unit started blinking red as soon as I installed the new battery. Prior to this, I'd only ever seen blue lights. What gives?

Sounds like you got a bad battery.  Contact the reseller and request that they send you a new one as your current battery appears to be defective.
