We have a Home Phone Connect, it works well. We use it, then press the pwr button the back, when done we press the button on the back (protrudes out a bit more) to turn it off. with in a second or two the dialtone goes away. We come back a few hrs later and we have a dial-tone w/a green lite). We even made a call to make sure it was live all while the device reads "press button to turn on pwr". We press the button (in) & the light blinks red for about 5 min. We eventually get a dial tone. We turn it off again & the process starts over. What is happening & does it turn it self on if soem oen leaves a Vmail? Is it malfunctioning? How do we trully turn this thing OFF?
Is there a reason why you want to turn off the device? What if someone tried to call you when the phone was turned off?
I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.
Sapiophilie1, we want to ensure you can power off your Home Phone T2000 as needed. I welcome the opportunity to address your inquiry. When off, you are correct that the power button sticks out more than it would when it's on and pressed in. When it's coming back on is that button still sticking out?
We were informed by a teir-2 tech support that the button is toggleable, Off is what ever position the sw is in when the battery 1-st put in. But, at the moment, it is still off in the out position. Verizon replaced the device w/ a "refurbished" unit. We are to test it (see if it does the same thing as the 1-st one did).
That could certainly be more convenient for people calling you if you won't be answering either way. I appreciate you clarifying. Have you been able to test the replacement?
