Is It Possible To Lock The Modem In 3g/4g Mode?

Is it possible to lock the modem in 3g/4g? The web based management tool does not offer this option and I'm running on Ubuntu so I can't use the Verizon software.  I can get a windows machine and plug it into that but I don't want to bother if the software doesn't allow you switch the mode manually either.

It is possible to do what is allowed on the Settings > Networks tab in the web style user interface. If what you want is not there then it is not possible.

Verizon's software is called VZ Access Manager, it is not applicable to the (Novatel) U620L.
