I have been using an Orbic Hotspot with my Windows 10 Pro computer for several months.
December 26, 2021 I downloaded about 12 GB of data with no issues. Wednesday, December 29th, I could no longer get "online" with either Orbic device. I can connect to them but either it says "no internet" or if it is connected, it is so slow that I can't get online. (I have no trouble connecting & using my phone's hotspot.)
I have 2 Windows 10 Home computers and have no issue connecting them to the hotspots and getting internet access.
I have tried the following things and still have the problem:
1. deleted/forgotten both devices and reconnected to them.
2. deleted/forgotten the devices & rebooted the computer
3. forgotten the devices, rebooted the computer, and turned devices off & back on
Was there a Windows 10 Pro update last week that may have caused this?
Is there anything else I can try?
A Verizon salesman at a local shop told me what to do to solve the problem. I don't know why the techs I've talked to on the phone and through chat didn't suggest it. So I'm going to share it here (though some of you may have already thought of this...
Plug the USB cord into the computer. It charges the device and the comp is on the internet.
