Verizon's Motor or qmv7a tablet

I need to find out what the correct DC amperage required to charge the tablet in the car. Different power port adapters seem to dispence at different amperages according to the printed material found on the adapters.I've had variations from 1 amp. to 2.5 amp.s while rated output voltages remain @ 15 vdc. This came to my attention when first plugged into the power port of our Nissan Moreno.A warning screen came up with something like "improper voltage" & damage may occur. Anyone able to provide the correct charging rate info. & pass it along would be greatly appreciated.
