my pantech uml 290 recently starting picking up only 3g connection

My pantech uml 290 recently started picking up a 3g connection when i use to use 4g lte all the time. I can put my phone right next to where the usb modem is and get a 4g connection but the modem only picks up 3g. I've tried a whole lot of options to try and fix this. I'm wondering if i'll need to replace my Sim Card or not. I've tried uninstalling vza manager and reinstalling and didnt work. Any ideas on how to fix? Will let you know if i've done it already.

95966 is my zip code. This started happening around the middle of january. I've called customer support quite a bit. I went into a store and replaced my sim card on 2/26/15 and it kind of helped but still very shotty with picking up 4g. Also constantly getting a error wmc103. message.  I was going to get a callback on 2/27 from verizon to maybe see about checking out the area submitting a ticket i believe she said.
