I have scheduled an appointment to have the LTE home internet service (cantenna + router) installed at our home (rural area) and would like to find out if the 4G LTE signal boosters made by Wilson/weBoost are compatible with this equipment.
If they will work together i plan to purchase one and have it present at the time of the LTE home internet installation to maximize signal strength.
Any insight is greatly appreciated.
Hi adotsloan, I can understand getting all set up with your booster device prior to having the Cantenna router installed at your location. Now as far as to whether or not the Wilson/weBoost device is compatible or not, I suggest reaching out to the manufacture because they would be better able to provide an answer as we are not able to guarentee whether or not that if that device would work with the cantenna. I trust everything can work out in order to improve your service.

Probably not! Observations suggest the HBA isn’t just an antenna. It likely contains both the cellular radio and modem and uses technology similar to MoCA especially since both Verizon and Technicolor (HBR OEM) support MoCA. It would be a shame to use the coax for RF when MoCA makes way more logical sense while keeping all cellular RF at the antenna.
It would be best to contact Wilson to confirm before making any purchases, If they cannot guarantee compatibility then I wouldn't expect it to work.
My gut tells me that adding a booster to the 4G LTE Internet Installed package would not be an option. The equipment you receive from VZW and that get installed by a locally hired professional should be sufficient to maximize your performance in that area, otherwise VZW wouldn't offer the service to you in the first place.
