Hi,
just got my first ever Droid so learning all the wonderful things about it.
Can someone tell me, do Market purchases get automatically billed to my Verizon account or can I set up a separate billing account just for Market purchases?
Thanks
Sean

On my first market purchase, it asked for my credit card and everything has been billed to that card since.

Verizon now has an App for buying Apps and that program does bill your VZW account. It should already be on your device.

What app is that? Verizon mobile?
Regarding the android market purchases, I have not purchased from the android market because I am concerned about safety of stored CC info. Anyone have an issue with this purchasing from the android market?

I had to look and see. It is called, V-Cast apps. Many of the apps in the Market are available there.
As for CC security, I would not be anymore concerned than leaving it on Best Buy or Amazon.

All I have is Vcast tones and Vcast music on my phone. I'm sure thats for ringtones and music clips.

If it's not on the device then you "should" be able to download it through the Verizon tab. For the Droid for example didn't come with the App when they got 2.X updates much like Skype Mobile app.

Reminds me in the early days of automobile when you would void your warranty if you replaced your NON-EOM Battery or tires with a Die Hard, or Mitchlens.
Altho, You can still void your warrenty if you use a NON-EOM charger on your phone..

I would like to thank all of the community members who responded to this form post with great solutions. I would just like to add a few other things. Purchasing apps from the market or from Verizon Media Store will not void your warranty.
Verizon Wireless's mobile storefront, called V CAST Apps, enables you to discover and purchase applications from your RIM and Android devices. Free apps are also available. You can purchase applications online via the V CAST Media Store.
