Android Market - How purchase Apps from market and load to phone???

I do not want to enter credit card information on my phone to purchase an app - how can I purchase the app online somewhere and then upload to my phone?

As of right now, no. But what you can do is, if you donot feel comfortable with your information being saved, you can always go to Google Checkout's site to remove you card number.

why don't you just go to a retailer and get like a visa or american express giftcard and enter it that way that is what i do if i have to buy anything online

I use a separate credit card with a lower limit credit to buy anything on line, so that my liability is limited.

You imply that  using a credit card with a lower credit line limits your liability. Most/all major credit cards or the banks that issue them have policies that state  customers are not liable for fraudulent charges. Here is what Citibank says:

As a Citi cardmember, you can be assured that we are constantly safeguarding and protecting

you and your account. Through proactive monitoring of our customers’ accounts, we

detect most fraud or unauthorized use quickly, often before you are even aware of it. And,

you will not be responsible for any charges that you did not authorize.
