Updated DroidX to Gingerbread and the Nav App no longer provides the four functions
Car
Bus / Public Transportation
Train
Walking
Current version shows only two options -- Car and Walking
What am I doing wrong?
Just noticed same issue on Xoom running Honeycomb?????

Are you updated to the most recent version of Google Maps, it should be 5.5.0 on market.

Yes, I am at 5.5.0. I am assuming that the upgrade to that is where I lost the ability to navigate by Bus / Public Transport.
Are you running 5.5? Do you have the option to navigate by bus or train?

Yes I have 5.5.0 but as for Bus / Public Transport option I never seen those options, the only options I have had was Walk and Drive unless you are speaking od another option and area for this menu..

Up until around the time of the Gingerbread update I could choose "Bus" and I would get a list of Bus Route numbers, Transfer Intersections, Transfer times and a Map of the Path.
Now with 5.5.0 I see the same screeen that you are showing above with no option to choose Bus or Train.
Since I no longer drive, the Buss option was very handy.

Problem Resolved
If you go into Maps you can tap "Navigation" or "Directions"
"Navigation" has two options "Walk" or "Ride"
"Directions" has four options "Walk", "Ride", "Bike" or "Bus"
"Bus" is cool. The map shows the route and indicates the path to walk to transfer to the next bus.
Estimated transit times, number of stops between transfer points
Bus to the beach and back. No fuel cost and no parking fees

Exactly, I was looking for the option via Navigator.
When I finally went into Directions there it was nice and neat.
