BACKUP ASSIST IS A MESS...

HI i am trying to figure out why when i switched phones and followed all the directions for backing up my contacts,back up assistant kind of did whatever it wanted.. io got some of my contacts, didnt get others, like half of them are showing as 'UNKOWN' in my phone AND on the online page you can imagine how in opportune it is to have 50 numbers all labled unknown. ... also when i sync from online, it just does what it wants there too. ie. i will update a contact name and the assistant does nothing...or it shows online but not in my phone.

Well, regarding BUA being a mess, I don't disagree

. However, the good news is once you get all your contacts stored on your android phone, you can automatically back them up on your gmail account, and unlike BUA that works GREAT.

What phone are you coming from and what phone are you trying to get this to work on?

Fyi backup assistant has been weird since as least October 2010
