Hey, all,

How many of you hard-core gamers out there remember when 3D Realms released Duke Nukem 3D for the PC back in January of 1996?  That game, along with Doom by ID Software, were epic first person shooter games that helped pave the way for many other games.

Duke Nukem 3D was announced as a port for Android this past week.  See the info here for more.  I look forward to getting this game, just for nostalgia sake.  How many of you remember playing the game on PC, connecting with the old 14.4 modems?  We have come a long way.

I was ready to plunk down my $.99... but they don't support keyboard OR bluetooth controls! touch only! I cannot comprehend trying to play Duke 3D without buttons... oh well. the price is right and the game's probably completable on the lowest difficulty, which will at least let people experience the personality of the game. It's a great game, I hope they update the controls.

Hey,

I agree with you about the controls.  On a side note, I love playing Duke3D on the XBox 360.  Since they released the game for the Android, they came out with an update, which among other things got rid of the advertising within the game.  The Android community roared loudly when the game developer released the game for .99 cents and had ingame ads.  Now it is ad-free.  By the way, you get the first episode of Duke3D for the .99cents.  The others cost extra and are available within the game.
