The Facebook App on my Droid Incredible is giving the following message when I try to access the News Feed.
"An error had occurred while fetching data [null]"
Any ideas on how to fix this? My profile page loads fine, as do photos, friends, etc.

This "error" seems to be a frequent occurence with the Facebook app. And I mean the app, not the web page in the browser. The fix seems to be to un-install and re-install. However, I got sick of that dog and pony show and now I just use the browser to access the Facebook site. Look for the mobile touch site.
Be aware that there are two views of the page. I think, by default, that the page opens in "News Feed", which lists the posts, but not necessarily in order. If you click on the "News Feed", it changes the page to "Live Feed", which does show the posts in order.
The Facebook app does access some features on your account that you can't get to with the mobile site....WHEN IT WORKS.

That message has something to do with a connection error, most likely overloaded servers on Facebook's end.
That happens about once or twice a day for me. It seems to be related to connection issues for me because I also can't get through to other apps or my email when that happens. I just restart the 3G connection.
However, the FB for Android app seems to have a lot of glitches (ex: a post will be there one time, then will 'disapppear' the next, then reappear later). I use that app as well as the full web site.
I cannot uninstall the app. It came preinstalled on my phone by Verizon. I am using the mobile Facebook website, but I would like to fix the app. It's been down for 3 days and I don't believe it's a problem on Facebook's end. The app on my wife's phone (same as mine, Droid Incredible) works just fine.
Have you checked for updates to the app on the Market? If it is updated, try uninstalling the updates, reboot and go back to the Market and install the latest updates.
I know mine is always telling me to update the facebook app, but I ignore it since I don't use that website.

Hey Steve,
I saw on FB that there is an update for FB for Android. Ironically, I can't find the post anymore...another post that simply disappears! I also had numerous FCs on FB this evening.
I did remember reading some of the comments, and the five or six I read were not favourable. Have you tried any of the other FB apps in the Market?
