I was digging through my Google Settings to make sure everything was still as I left it when I noticed "Nearby", but it was greyed out. So I searched for, "What is Google Settings Nearby?" I know it was spoken about at I/O 2014, but it seems interesting and I haven't heard anyone else talk about it.
Nearby lets you connect, share, and do more with people, places, and things near you. So, I suppose it might be somewhat interactive, but outside of the details in the article for June 6, 2014, I have not seen this feature even show up in my list of Google Settings until today, and seems it was added sometime in the past couple months. If this feature is already being used, please let me know who you enabled it. I know it uses WiFi, data, and Bluetooth, for which I have all of the above enabled usually. Yet, I haven't seen any action from this feature yet.
