IM AND REPLING TO MSG FROM EITHER MYSPACE, OR TAGGED

For some reason when I review the forums I'm not able to create a new msg, the keyboard doesn't appear, this isn't the only place I have that issue, myspace, and tagged are a issue the keyboard doesn't come up.  Another issue what would be the best app for for im through the phone, I really don't want to pay more money for msg, when I have to pay the data plan also..

There's a native app that comes with a phone, called "IM" that allows you to sign into AIM, YIM, or MSN.

And of course there's always Gtalk.

is it just me or is there not a preinstalled app for IM on the HTC Eris droid? I had to download the Meebo app to do aim and yim
