Is there an Application Information Repository?

New to Android/Droid X. Love my Dx but Apps, in many cases, appear to be missing Help Files.

Is there a repository for Android application Information?

Something that will show Menu Structure for each of the Apps along with Menu Item definition (Intent)?

Are you looking for a list that gives all the apps loaded on the phone and what each one does? As for the help files, depending on the application, some of them also reside in the market. You can check the website listed in the application description for more information about those Apps. You could also check the phone manufacturer's website and see if there is more information there. The user guide or manual (download available on Verizon support page or manufacturer website) is also a good place to start if you haven't already.

App Brain does a good job of bundling your apps. Never needed instructions for any app, but I would think that the dev, of the app would have it on his site.

Or read the download page before you dl, generally the install page tells exactly what it does.

I was looking more for a reference document or listing

All apps listed by name with menu trees and menu item functionality

Perhaps with Security holes noted and Developer Reliability Ratings.

At least for Installed Apps if not those in the Market.

Obviously, some apps come with comprehensive help files that are right on target, but some have no help file and menu items that provide no clue asto the functionality of the menu item contained in the label of that menu item.

Perhaps the app's author has a website that offers the help files you are seeking.

Okay... open the market and for this example I'm going to use Google Maps.

The author is listed under the title of the application. Google, Inc.

You select the application to open the description. Scroll all the way to the bottom of the description page. There are now links on the screen that say something like, "more of developer's applications", "developer's website", and "send email to developer".

Well that helps for Google Maps.  Not so much for Colornote and other Apps that are not nearly as well documented as the Google apps.

Just looking for some sort of a Matrix of App Purpose and Menu functions.
