K9 app has stopped working

I installed the K9 email app on my Droid 2 about 4 months ago to help with my hotmail email . It was working very well. I was receiving my emails very quickly. Last week I stopped getting my notifications thru K9. I have reinstalled the app a few times but it only refreshes when I go to the actuall app and select "check email". I have also taken the battery out for 60 seconds and then replaced it.  With K9 I was also able to have my notification light a purple color and now that does not work as well.  Has anyone else had this issue?

I fixed it myself.  Had to adjust some settings.
