Kaspersky Mobile

I've been using Kaspersky Mobile for a couple of weeks now and while it appears to work well (hasn't had to catch anything yet), it has an odd trait.

I noticed that 2 or 3 times a day, I see a notification that says "Launching Kaspersky Mobile " and this will happen 3 or 4 times per occurrence. Is this normal?

Also, I have to start over with my user settings every time it updates. Kinda a pain, really.

Lookout seems less intrusive and had maybe a little less effect on the battery. I'm going to run it this week and see if I notice better battery life.

This happens when Kaspersky is scanning sections of system, it does scans in batches to avoid a overload of system and notification detects the start of scan..

Havent experiace this one yet but I have backup of settings that I can restore if this happens...

I have been using it since nickjr pointed out that they released a mobile version at http://community.vzw.com/t5/Android-Apps/Lookout-mobile-security/m-p/534242#M5886 and I can say it is nice, it does use a bit more power because it actually scans the complete system on scheldules and it does pretty well.

It has caught a number of Spyware and exploits attempting to load from sites, the Blacklist option for Text and calls is really nice, it blocks them with no notifcaition to user.  The app has detected explotes on sites for downloading root applications and other dangerous sites like other file share....   The alert can scare the crap out of a user the first time you hear it because it is a loud buzzer.

One of the features I hope they add is a way to pull up removed or found infections after closing the main alert has sounded and been closed, I have sent a email to Kaspersky on some improvements suggestion for the app but still I bought the app because so far this is the best verifed protection for a Android device at this time.

I have tested the app by downloading on card a number of apps intended to access root on random devices and then scan the system to see how many exploits the app detected and I can say it seems to be catching close to my desktop apps which is really impressive.

Deffinitly a nice find and worth every penny, hope Kaspersky add some of my features I suggested for the app ro really make it more incredible..

I use Kaspersky also and have been using the black and white list which is awesome. I paid for mine also. Great recommendation for any one especially with all the bad stuff being passed around out there.
