MMS messages / backgrounds app

Please forgive me if this has been asked and/or beaten to death - I can't seem to locate any posts addressing these two issues.

first: I have not been able to receive MMS messages.  I often receive "preceding msg modified. media objects were removed"  What am I missing here? do I need to adjust a setting?

Second: I downloaded the backgrounds app from the market. I have downloaded a few backgrounds.  got a messsage that the backgrounds were saved to the sd card under "backgrounds" - but so help me I cannot find how to set these as a background after they are saved.  (I know I can set wallpapers from the same screen that I save them from, but sometimes I want to go back and select a previous wallpaper...)

For your first question, and I'm curious as I don't know the answer: Are VZW users not allowed to receive picture messaging? That doesn't sound right to me...

Second, You should download Astro File Manager. There you'll be able to access all folders in your SD card. There you will assumptively find the folder your looking for, be able to view the pictures, press Menu>Set As>Wallpaper, and Voila!

As for the first, I emailed vzw about this. Its gotta be something simple, like a setting I am missing. Right?    If I get any resolution, I'll reply here.

I three friends (two on AT&T with iPhones, one on T-Mobile with Blackberry) Send me picture messages, I recieved them all. I sent picture messages to all of them, and they all recieved it perfectly
