So I'm going to put a few songs on my X2 as a convenience thing (I now have 3 nearly-full 120gig iPods, but they are usually packed away in my road stash).
I'm going to try and use 320kb MP3s and AAC files. Is there a favorite music player or will the stock music player suffice? I don't want the player to make playlists, organize my music, make suggestions, or otherwise get in my way. MixZing was terrible about that sort of thing, even after I turned that stuff in the options.
Thanx for ideas,
Geri O

I rarely listen to music on my X, but Power Amp is so nice with the equalizer and preset settings, I bought it.

stock player is pretty poor. i will agree with powerAMP. it's pretty nice. winamp was very nice too....but it may include all of that junk you don't really want??? i don't recall. i belive that poweramp is also one of the more efficient ones.
a bit unrelated....but i went ahead and broke down and got a spotify subscription. i must say that for music fans, this is the first one that i've ever found that i think is WELL WORTH the subscription fee. i have about 25 gigs of my collection on my zune and will definitely still keep it in my car....but i now have 15 million tracks accessible on my tbolt. the stream quality is very impressive and if you're in a solid network, it is nearly flawless. the best part is it takes no space. my tbolt just replaced my zune and cd's.

But I have read enough about the stock to know better that to count on it. Power Amp sounds like a good choice. And the name is certainly easy enough to remember in my world..)
