Music won't play WMA files on xoom

Tried music and Meridian. Neither will recognize WMA.
I can see the files in Astro. So I know that they are there.
Same songs play just fine on my droid x.
TIA 4 any assistance rendered.

Here is the list of supported codac formats supported by Android and like I thought, WMA isnt listed as a supported format unless a 3rd party app was installed that WMA worked with but the native OS does not have support for the file you are tring to play...

Update:  Looks like I missed something because I found a post that reports they will work but Android site says they wont so I guess its one of those situations if they work that fine but if they dont, dont be suprised.  All I can say is it would be simple enough to convert the files to MP3 and remove this restriction.

I was thinking that it was a licensing issue between microsoft and google. Just confusing that they play Okay under gingerbread, But not under Honeycomb. Do you know of an android app That will do the conversion?

The app doesnt have to be Android base, if you google there is a number of free converter apps on the web that can do them quickly..  Check out http://www.wma-mp3.org/

There appears to be no elegant solution so I will just let the music play on my gingerbread device and wait for the honeycomb developers finally got around to supporting w m a
