My Verizon widget missing

Just bought a used Motorola Devour (A555) and really need to monitor my data usage, since VZW neglected to disclose that my unlimited data plan would NOT be grandfathered in if I upgraded my phone (nyah!).

 

I'm told there's a My Verizon widget that will run on Android 1.6, but I don't have it.

 

How do I get it?

Don,t know about 1.6 spcifically but My Verizon should be available in the Android Market. Market should be in your LLauncher.

Consider yourself lucky.  It's complete garbage.  It does not remember userid and password even though the remember box is checked, it never syncs (still shows 0 for everything weeks after use), the data is cut off with no scrolling or zooming.  I don't think Verizon could even make the app more aggravating.  So much for Verizon having standards.  Note I'm I/T professional and know how to use android and applications. 

 

The FIOS Remote worked great until the Oct 18 upgrade.  Now it shows an extra row of icons that do nothing and the channel up/dowm an volume button are missing (cutoff?).   I removed all the troublesome Verizon apps (My Verizon FIOS, Verizon FIOS remote and Verizon My Account and Verizon Wireless Account).  Other than these horrible apps I'm a happy Verizon Wireless and FIOS customer.

Funny, mine works flawlessly. And I do not need to log in each time either.

Mine all worked until the recent updates.  I'm so mad I can get the older version that worked fine!  I think Verizon just never bothered to test their apps my new LG Enlighten phone since the previous version worked great.  I showed the guy at store and all he said was sorry do want to buy a new phone for full retail price.  I had to hold back from punching the tech support/sales man for such an obnoxious response.

 

I'm not the only one take a quick look and all new 1 star complaints at  https://market.android.com/details?id=com.verizon.android.wifios&feature=search_result

Thanks for the reply -- but it's not showing in Marketplace, for me.  I'm assuming there's no version compatible with the only version of Android that I can get on this phone.
