Ringtone volume

I have read on the internet that there is a software update coming that will fix the Droids low ringtone volume. Does anybody know when this will happen?

That was the Android 2.2 update.  If you are still having issues with the volume of your ringtone you should try different ringtones.  The ringer in the Droid X is not as loud as the Droid even after the update.  If you are using a low quality ringtone it will worsen this.
