Tech GODS!! I need help,

I've tried everything but both my phone and my wifes phone keep getting the following error when trying to login to Skype Mobile

"Skype Mobile cannot connect to your cellular network."

I have a Motorola Droid and my wife has an HTC Eris.

- Both have the latest software available

- I've tried:

1. un-installing and re-installing Skype Mobile

2. Factory default settings

3. Clearing cache and resetting browser settings.

4. I've done all of the above to my original phones and the replacement phones (a total of 4 phones) that Verizon sent us to fix the issues. No luck!!

Please note that I've tried my Skype credentials on a friends Droid phone and it worked. I also spent 3+ hours with verizon tech support on the phone and they tried my skype credentials on a test phone that they had and it worked. One thing they could not do the day I called was duplicate my actual phone to include acct, phone number, etc. and try my skype credentials.

ANY IDEAS? Please help! Getting desperate.

Since you have mastered all of the basic trouble shootings steps, try re-programming your phones by dialing *228 send and option 1, to see if this will help. If not, I would recommend you contact our Tech Support Department for further trouble shooting.  :smileywink:!

Tried it but it didn't help :smileysad:

The only steps I haven't tried are getting new numbers and/or getting Verizon to "redo" my account.

Just wanted to give you an update, maybe share my experience to your collegues.

I was able to fix the problem today. Both phones can now access Skype mobile.

I went and changed the phone number for both my Motorola Droid and my wife's Eris.

I changed both phones from a 762 area code to a 706 area code. Not really sure if the area code was the issue. 762 is supposedly a new area code that is being used over here in GA.
