Unintalling and reinstalling apps problem

I downloaded an app and accidentally uninstalled it. I've been trying to get it back on my phone howeved under market it shows that it is installed, when I go into it's information on market the options to open the program or uninstall it are greyed out. If I go into my settings on the phone the app doesn't appear in the app list. Any help on fixing this would be appreciated.

i know that if it is a free app, you pretty much can uninstall and install all you want.

however, if it is a paid app and you returned it within the first 24 hours, you might not be allowed to download the app again since it might appear that you are simply re-using the 24 hour grace period again.

what is the app?

You could download the app called aTrackDog. Then try uninstalling the app from there.Go to market again & try to re-download it

I had a problem with a similar situation on an app some time ago on my Hero.  There are some free "app uninstaller" programs in the Market, unfortunately I don't remember which one I used, you might try the "App Remover" program (free in the market) to see if it can clear up your issue for you.
