The app "Dog Wars" developed by Kage Games LLC allows users to train dogs and fight them with other users. Many animal rights groups are up in arms about this and it will bring about horrible publicity both for Verizon and Google. Google has refused to take the app down, as of now, because it "doesn't violate their content policy." Verizon should lead the stand against animal cruelty and ban this sick app before their name is implicated further.

I have contacted Google and they have replied that they won't take it down because it doesn't violate their policy. What is Verizon's response? Do they have any say on what Google allows on the market or not?

I have no idea to be honest. And I doubt you will ever get that answer from anyone you contact at verizon.
I have never seen VZW able to remove anything from market in the past, And I don't see a way to block one specific download server side..There are plenty of XXX type apps on the market, If they are there I don't see this getting removed

Well porn and the internet are one and the same. I doubt too many people care enough to complain about porn. But animal cruelty raises big passions. Wait til PETA starts organizing its troops...
I'm just saying, Google is already being targetted as supporting dog fighting for not doing anything about this. Verizon will be next. It will be in their best interest to remove this app, if they have the power to do it.

The Market is Googles baby, Verizon doesnt control the market at all so you wont have any luck with them... All cariers have access to the Market through any Android device but the carriers dont control whats on them or who can post on them...
There is apps on smoking weed, slapping ladies and shooting cops and if they havent removed those I really think you dont have much chance of having the app you are asking about.
Good Luck with that one...

Why does an app like this bother you so much? It's not like they have real dogs going out to fight other dogs. It's like saying Call of Duty encourages people to murder and raise rebellion anywhere they see fit. It is simply a game and nothing else.
