Weather Channel App Notifications

Does anyone know how to get rid of the notifications that The Weather Channel app receives. After I read them they remain.

the notifications will remain until the severe weather alert has expired.  to get rid of it, you will have to go into the apps system and disable the notification/alerts manually.

or you could click "clear" in the notifications tabs...
