I live in Canada but have a Droid 2.2 for business use in the US. Phone, calendar and contacts operate well via a wifi connection to our home network, although synch appears to operate only sporadically. For example, my phone synced automatically at 6:30 AM this morning but will not update when I do a manual Sync Now from settings.
More troubling, basic Droid apps that require Internet access do not work at all, reporting one of these three error messages:
Browser: Web page not available
Market: Attention - A network error has cocurred. Retry, or cancel and return to the previous screen.
Maps: Shows "loading" for a long time and then reports a Network Failure with the message that "This application requires a working data connection"
Other experiences, workarounds or suggestions?
