Why would a blackjack card game need access to my contacts, phone state, network state, etc? In fact, why would any app need to access my contacts or read my emails/texts? That's none of their *expletive deleted* business! I think it's horse poo when you want to download and install a simple app yet it asks you for stuff that is totally unrelated to the app itself.
Who is with me on this?!

lol....yeah. i try to stay away from those apps (unless i REALLY want it). a study just came out that showed that 15 of the 30 apps they studied were leaking info for marketing purposes. this is the "cost" of "free" apps. i usually look to see what access it wants. i get that an app that will look up local restaurants will want access to my location....but a blackjack game doesn't need it...lol.

Make sure you are wary of all applications that request information such as this. All applications come from third party developers so be sure you trust it before you download and give it access to all your information.

I totally agree, if an app asks for access outside of what it is going to be used for I refuse it. This is a feature I love about these Android phones, you can catch issues before they catch you.
