I try to download apps on my Droid Ally, but it always comes up with that notification with a triangle that has an exclamation point in the middle and it saying "Download Unsuccessful, please try again." It doesn't matter what application it is, it says it for everything.
Please help.

I notice that all the time with the stock browser..... Download Opera Mobile and you can download file without issues.
Yeah, I ran into that problem with the stock browser at first (back in July).
I started using after-market browsers and never had the problem again.
Currently, I use xScope, but Opera looks good, too.

i've never had the issue with the stock browser....but if she can't download apps at the moment, is there another way for her to get a different browser??
There is a number of browsers on the market, just search for browsers and take your pick..
what i meant is if she can't download anything, how is she going to download a different browser?

I have seen this issue when downloading from web page but if you cant download from market you must have other issues because the Market and web base downloads are not the same, have you tried restarting and maybe dial *228, #1 and then #2 to update programing and roaming. Also make sure wifi is disabled.

I think Ginab is referring the the Android Market, not downloading from a browser.
I've been having the same problem for the last few days. I'm referring to downloading things directly from the "market". Everything that i try to download / install fails. It says "Download unsuccessful, please try again".
I read that I could do a Hard Reset, but I don't know if I want to do that.
Any suggestions, this is frustrating.
Correct, I missed that at first, too. The OP isn't referring to the browser, but the app market. Oops.
I have one idea worth trying, but don't get yer hopes up. It worked once for me when I had an Eris last year.
Go to "settings"/"applications"/"manage applications" and click the "all" tab. Once it's loaded, find the "Market" app and click "clear cache".
And let us know what happens.
(P.S., there is a way to install apps by transferring the app from the computer via USB connection, but I've forgotten the exact details at the moment. Especially the part where you can actually FIND the app you wish to install somewhere beside the Market)
