Asurion Claim and my dilema

I am having a dilema. My Droid 3 recently had a fall and has cracked the screen to the point off non usage. I am aware of the 99 dollar deductible on Asurion

replacements but the issue I am on limited income (SSDI) and do not have 99 dollars just laying around. Now I have money set aside to pay my phone bill on the 31st $325.45. I am curious if Verizon would in any way be able to bill the claim to my account. Or let the 99 slide to next months bill.

I know that when I was a customer of both ATT and Sprint the bill to account option was avaible. I am lost as to why Verizon ( The best network and best service( self proclaimed) is not able to do such a thing as their competitors. I think it would be beneficial to both the consumer and the company. If anyone has any input or has ways to get ahold of the big wigs to suggest this please let me know.

Thank you and have a great day or evening.

Call VZW Financial services, offer to pay your bill minus the $99 with the promise to make up the difference next month. See what they say. If a long term customer, I suspect they will ok it.  1-800-754-0961

No need to talk about the reason other than an unforeseen bill

The reason it can not be done the way you think is Asurion is a totally different company that offers the insurance.

If you have a claim with Asurion you must pay the $99 at the time you file the claim. They are not able to bill it to your account as they are a seperate organization. At least that is the way it was explained to me?

I seem to be getting the same answer. I guess my main complaint is that I either pay my full bill and have no phone to use or I get the phone for 99 then not pay entire bill and service gets shut off and I cannot use my phone anyway. Verizon refuses to even try to help me with this issue.

Why is your phone bill so high?  If you are going over your minutes, you can bump up to a new/higher minute plan for way cheaper than that.  Just saying...................

It's like auto insurance. If you are insured with an auto insurance company and have a deductible, you can not go to the auto dealer and ask them to put the deductible on your auto payment bill. They are two different entities not connected with each other.

I have 5 lines on my plan for family members and I am the head of house hold so I am the sole bread winner. I am on the share everything plan with 8 gigs of data and we are sufficient with that and cannot go any lower. I appreciate the thought and input but it is not a option.

I understand your comparison to the Auto insurance but I do not see it as fully fitting to my dilemma. Due to the fact that was stated in the post that both AT&T and Sprint both have the ability for charging the deductible to the bill. My main thing I am trying to do here is get the Verizon representatives to notice that customers want this option and that it would be beneficial to the customer and the company.

I'm sure Verizon has considered that option and rejected it.  If I was on a limited income, I would figure out how to get along with fewer cell phones or no cell phones.  Cell phones are not a necessity.

Wow that is awesome to know what you would do!!! Now if you must know I was injured at work and I am now on disability until doctors say I can work again. I am unable to cancel my contract due to the Early Termination Fee's being so high.

Now as to the Asurion issue. I still fail too see as to why it is not able to be done??
