Anyone had this happened? Using the factory cable while charging. Grabbed my phone and noticed it was about at 95% charged, and felt the lower area of phone where the cable is plugged in was really hot. When I pulled out the cable, i noticed the mini usb area was already melted. Part of the case had also melted and the phone itself near the area was melted too.

Nope. Contact LG directly.

Looks like a faulty cable to me. Since it is the cable that came with the box then you may contact tech or LG for a warranty replacement. Provided that it is still under warranty

What case, if any, did you have on the phone when charging? The quick charge adapter does make the phone warmer than a non-quick charge adapter but not enough to melt anything.
