About a week ago I noticed that there were contacts missing from my cell phone. At the same time I found several blank entries titled "(No Name)". These "(No Name)" contacts have no contact information inside, but some of them are part of groups (Family, Co-workers, etc.) so I know that they are previously valid contacts that my phone has deleted all by itself.
Does anyone else have this problem? More importantly, does anyone know how to fix it?!? At this point I have dozens of missing / deleted contacts, and the worst part is that I can't even replace them proactively because I don't know which ones are missing until I go to call them and I find they are gone.

This could be a setting within the Droid Maxx? Tap on the People icon, then at the lower right go into the settings, has 3 slashes. Tap on Contacts to display and make sure All contacts is selected.

Not seen any on my Droid Maxx Do you have your contacts set up with Google or Back-Up Assistant with Google you can go on the P.C. Site of Gmail and look at your contacts once you've entered your account information.. I've use Google for last 5 and a half years with 0' loss of my contacts..

Sounds like you are using Backup Assistant or Verizon Cloud to back up your contacts. This is by far the worst solution anyone can use as BUA and Cloud have problems keeping contacts right. They will delete your contacts, change them, all kinds of things. First check on Verizons cloud in the trash can (it moves contacts there all the time). If they are there move them back into contacts. Then change all of your contacts to Google and use Google to back your stuff up.

Been using Verizon Cloud frequently it's working very well. In fact even put it on the computer. Your gonna scare people from using it will inaccurate info.

I never had that happen to me Jakeman1 when I used B.A. for the short time i used it, but that was a long time ago back in 2010 probably when was a bit more user friendly but when I moved to Google it was well worth the change..

I would say you are one of the lucky ones then. I have had nothing but issues with BUA and Verizon Cloud from mixing up contacts, to deleting them to the never ending sync using tons of data.
as a matter of fact you can go back through the tons of posts on here about Cloud trashing contacts arbitrarily and changing contacts (mixing the addresses from one contact to another, or deleting part of it)
I have never had an issue with Google.

Currently on Verizon Cloud I have 978 songs, 2 videos, 63 photos, and contacts. Have had no problem with it at all. It replaces Verizons' back-up assistant. Maybe there was a bad version before I started using it and they did an updated version. Verizon Cloud works well very happy with it have it on computer as well as Droid Maxx.
