Probably only Verizon can answer this. Two security holes related to messaging have been discovered, one very dangerous and the other only slightly less so. They both take advantage of the way attachments to messages operate. These are serious concerns, because the phone's owner may do nothing and still get a message with a virus "payload", that operates without the user doing anything.
