This only started last night. My Droid Eris phone will make a single small beep (not one of my notification sounds). No notifications will display. This seems rather sporadic -- it seems to happen most frequently when I'm driving. I've checked all app updates, I've cleared all notifications, I don't have any missed calls or voicemails, and I don't have any new emails, and there aren't any items on my calendar, and I'm almost fully charged battery-wise. I'm not sure what's going on, and why I continually will hear these random single high-pitched beeps.
Any advice/solutions (or commiseration) would be greatly appreciated!
First the basic stuff, if you haven't tried it....
Pull the battery and restart the phone.
If this doesn't do it, then there could be an app causing the beep, even though it isn't obvious. If you have an app killer, shut down the apps one at a time and see if it goes away.
Unless someone else hopefully comes up with something more specific, you might need to do the factory reset and start over. I hope you something before it comes to that because that's a major pain in time.
