I was able to set up my personal and corporate email. The email is showing up on my droid. However, when I go to view a message I get the following error: The application email(process.com.android.email) has stopped unexpectedly. Does anyone know why?
I got the same thing this morning and have no idea, anyone have any ideas?
Bottom line you need to clear and reinstall
I recently ran into the same message. I tried removing the account and setting it up again. I even set it up on my husbands droid and it worked, no problems. After speaking with VZW person they suggested that I do an online search. On andriodandmeforums.com someone had a similar problem and had a solution besides factory reset.
Home> Settings> Applications> Manage Applications
Click the menu button> Select "filter"
Scroll down to "email" application, select "clear data"
Then just set up the account again.
So far a success for me and much easier than "factory reset"
Just curious, did you happen to try sending a picture via email with the "share" button?
I had a similar problem yesterday when I attempted to send a picture via gmail. I was attached to my WiFi, and left the range of the WiFi, apparently while the email was still sending. It got "stuck" in the outbox, and when I would attempt to click on the outbox, I was getting an error like you.
The solution was to clear the data via the menu/apps method already mentioned.
I have seen other with the same problem regarding lockups and crashes after trying to send a picture via email.
You are the "BOMB"!!! I have not been able to open my email for over a week and could not get help from Verizon. I didn't want to do the "factory reset" because "it could cause other problems" (Verizon support said that). THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH!!
