Droid Turbo II contact list

Bought a new Turbo II phone and move all my contacts over to it from my old HTC phone.  I have multiple Groups set up so I can enter only the Group Name into the recipient field and send text messages and/or Emails to them without having to enter multiple contacts.  No text or email program installed on the phone allows the use of Groups as an recipient address.  I can' t believe this.  I use groups all the time and would think millions of others do also.

Any suggestions?
