Email not sync'ing after upgrade

Took the Lollipop upgrade (a mistake according to some) on a Motorola X.

Didn't get any e-mail alerts for a day or so, so opened the app. After 3 1/2 hours it was still saying it was sync'ing.

The e-mail account its linked to isn't that cluttered !

Help!

Let's get your rmails flowing again as I understand the importance of staying connected. What type of email account is this? Have you tried manually syncing the email account via Settings>Accounts?
