hope someone can help me before i lose it.  i can't find anything re: on this forum about it.  i got my 2.1 update this am. ALL of my contacts have been wiped out. i have been trying to sync it for about 30 mins now & i keep getting a message 'too many Contacts deletes'.  what does this mean and how can i get my contacts back since backup assist don't work with this phone.  it gave me an option to undo deletes but still nothing.   plz help, thanks.

well ain't that something.  i've been playing w/ this thing for svl mins,  trying to undo deletes....nothing.  as soon as i hit enter on this forum, it finally let me undo the deletes and i have my contacts.  thank goodness!

how do you sync for option to undo deletes?

i'm trying to remember how i did.  when i went to accounts & sync off settings, hit google and then sync contacts...there was an option that i got but i can't remember how i got it. i think it came up when i got the 'contacts deletes' msg.  a popup gave 3 options and undo deletes were one of them, chose it, then it worked.  i'm trying to recreate the steps but it won't do it now.  sorry i cant help.

all mine came back automatically, it just took flippin forever for them too. thanks anyways, but anyway i heard because of googles "cloud" it will automatically reinstall all contacts, just takes a couple of very long hours to restore

After my upgrade, all my phone contact numbers were there,  but everyone's name showed as (unknown).  After 12 hours, from my home screen, I went to settings --> Accounts & Sync --> sync now.  This resolved it.  Maybe this is intuitive to some, but not me.

I have been trying to sinc as my contacts were deleted but it says synch is currently experiencing problems. It will be back shortly.  That's been the message for over a day now.  Any suggestions?
