Galaxy Note II and Yahoo Mail issues...

I have had the Galaxy Note II for a little over a month now. The Email app was configured and working with my Yahoo Mail Plus account for about 2 weeks but stopped working. I have tried everything that I have found online to resolve the issue but all have failed for me. When I open the Email app I get a 503 error and can't configure my email again. So far I have removed the account under the Accounts Settings, cleared data for for the Email app, done a factory reset on the phone, logged onto my VZW account and turned off Backup Plus (not sure if it's actually turned off as it is still listed in Accounts on my phone). I suspect the problem to be in Verizon Backup Plus is restoring the email settings after the factory reset. I really wish that it can be turned off and not be messing with my phone. I do my own backups and my Google Account takes care of everything else I need.

I know that I can set up the email account under "Other" settings in the app but it just bothers me that I can't get it to work the way it is supposed to be working!

Unfortunately, the fault may lie with Yahoo itself. If you track thru all the various threads, you will find that quite a few people have troubles with both their Yahoo and their AOL Email. You might just check with Yahoo itself and see if they can help.

Problem doesn't seem to be with Yahoo, as I said I can setup the account again in the Email app under "Others" and it works. Something is screwed up on my phone that can't be undone or gets redone when staring fresh. There is no longer a setup for Yahoo Mail even though the account has been removed under "Accounts" and the phone has been factory reset and wiped in recovery.

I have 200 phones I manage in the company. Almost all of the Android phones that use the pre-defined Yahoo Mail profile stopped syncing Yahoo mail.

Using Other to setup mail, or using the Yahoo! Mail app has resolved the issue, though, not in a good way.
