I know I want an android phone but I'm worried if I get the droid something might come out 2 months later. I keep hearing about new phones coming out in the 1st quarter but don't know if its even worth the wait.

You could always wait it out if you want. If you get the Android phone now you have 30 days to try out the phone. So if you want another phone within 30 days then you can exchange it for another new different phone.
Something newer and better always does come out though.

Yes, there is a 30 day trial period where you can return it, but once you find out that the Droid is P.O.S., and want to return it, they will whack you fro a $35 restocking fee.

I had the same question when the Droid first came out, but took the plunge and haven't looked back! The Droid is the device that you always wait for, only it's here now! Get it, you won't be sorry.

What exactly do you like about this P.O.S. ?
It is barely functional as a mobile phone and is ripe with tons of other problems. Just look at this message board. The overwhelming majority of the posts are from people with problems with a Droid.
I am convinced that anyone that likes the Droid are:
1. People that are fascinated by a touchscreen, and likely any other shiny objects
2. People that think having the latest gizmo/gadget makes them look cool
3. Just don't know any better
Hold off getting a Droid. If you need a functional smartphone, get a blackberry.

Yeah I can understand the frustration if you had a bad product, but my Droid has been operating flawlessly and I am very happy with it. I watched movies on it on a recent flight from Hawaii to LA and on the return (as well as playing a few games and listening to some music). I am amazed at what this phone can do (iphone can't play back movies in full DVD resolution).

I'm glad you are happy with it. Yes, the Droid does somethings well. It has great graphics, lots of memory so you can watch movies on the go. So don't a lot of other products, but guess what ? They are not phones. Have you really tried to use it as a phone or pda? It sux at the most basic core functions.
Hey, it's a neet toy.

I am not quite sure what droidsux is trying to do on here. I get that he had a bad Droids experience. I am sorry about that. However, there are plenty of people who really love their Droids. The constant complaining gets old real quick. Why have you not moved on by now, droidsux? Get a BB and try to be happy. Life is good!
What I am trying to do on here is to alert as many people as possible to the many flaws of the Droid, so they don't get suckered in to it like I did and to have to pay a $35 re-stocking fee to change to something else.
