HTC 10 Echo / Feedback during calls

I have an HTC 10 - HTC6545LVW  - I have a significant problem during phone calls. Both when the speaker phone is turned on and when it is turned off. I have a horrible echo and screeching feedback sound during phone calls, it has gotten bad enough where I need to find some resolution. I bought the phone in December, which is way too early for me to be experiencing problems of this nature. Please help. I am a long time HTC ONE user. Please help.

That could be a physical problem or a network side problem if you're having it on and off speakerphone. Do you ever connect the phone to bluetooth speakers or headphones? If you get the same problem over bluetooth, it's almost certainly a network problem, while if you don't have the problem over bluetooth it's more likely to be a problem on the phone's end. Since you only mention the problem happening on phone calls, I'll presume it doesn't happen when playing other media, which also indicates it's probably a problem on the network side.

If you're not using Advanced Calling, then try resetting network settings.

- Settings > Backup & reset > Network settings reset

If that doesn't resolve it, other things you can try are taking off a case if you have one or trying a different SIM card (you can get a replacement from a corporate Verizon store).

Are you using the HD Voice feature on your calls?

Try turning it on to so if it makes a difference.

HTC_fan , we never want our customers dealing with abnormal  sound  on their calls.  It’s so important to be able to hear everything clearly on all calls.  Let’s continue to work together to get this resolved.  What locations/zip codes does this issue occur in?  Is anyone else having these issues in your area?

I have this issue and have a few audio recordings of the ear splitting feedback/noise.  It is not the phone because it's been occuring on both an Iphone Xs and also still doing it on my iphone 11 pro.  It happens on my wife's phone and my son's phone and only seems to happen when we're making calls from our cell to a landline number.  I have trouble shooted this issue with tech support and they have had me try lots of different things, but none of them have eliminate the issue which I believe is with the local tower in my area.  It only happens when I'm on the tower that covers my home location.  I'd like to submit my video recording of the issue happening, but am not sure who to get in touch with. The noise is loud enough to cause severe hearing damage.

Hotelspy, our goal is for all your calls to be crystal clear, and never to harm you. I understand you've taken troubleshooting steps, and you're still hearing noise when contacting a landline number, on all your devices in one location. To gain clarity, does the problem persist indoors/outdoors? A specific landline number or any landline? What happens when a landline calls you?
