I'm trying to choose between the Samsung Galaxy S6, Droid Turbo, HTC One M9, Sony Xperia Z3 and LG G3. Any advice/recommendations?

Well, the LG G4 will arrive soon and will already have LP installed on it. You didn't mention that phone, but that would be my choice.

I cannot comment on some of the phones but the Motorola and HTC One M9 would be the top on my list. If for no other reason just seeing the posts on this board about the Samsung and LG issues with an OS Update as well as previous updates to these phones. From experience Motorola and HTC do a complete testing of new OS software and how they actually work before sending them out in mass where Samsung and LG rely on the general populist to get feedback on what they released.

The M8 has plenty of issues on the forums. The G4 will come with LP already installed, so no worries there. The G-series owners (2/3) would have fared well if only they had known the proper way to update, but I blame Verizon there for poor instructions other than to "Click Update Now."

I know the M8 has had some issues but again as you said, most of that is due to Verizon and not the device itself.

If you look at all the complaints you'll find the same complaints with other regions. A lot of them are Lollipop specific bugs introduced from the base code. It isn't Verizon specific... Just easier to put the blame on Verizon if you are part of elevate you will see their fan base has problems and already have voiced them.

Completely agree. If you look at the complaints they are generally with Samsung and LG (right now) because Motorola and HTC have both delayed the release of Lollipop until the code is correct and the issues are resolved. That is the difference I am talking about (Motorola and HTC) will not release the new OS until it is close to bug free where Samsung is usually the first to release with a lot of large bugs in the code and LG is soon to follow with some of them fixed.
