Just switched from windows phone to Samsung galaxy 7. I have created a gmail account for the sole purpose of being able to use google play, which is, as I understand it, required. I keep getting email notifications from both gmail and outlook for the same emails...apparently I have somehow linked the two together?? Example: I will get a notification from gmail and msn about incoming emails. I want this to stop. I ONLY want to use my msn account for email. Please Help

Sign into your Gmail account from a computer and unlink the MSN account from it. If it isn't that post back with more information.
I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

Ann has it correct. You have to login to Gmail.com and go into settings and one of the tabs there allows you to change your settings. I previously had my Hotmail pull into my Gmail but I never received duplicates.

do you have the same email address in outlook as gmail?? whether pop3 or imap, you select in settings what you want notifications.
i manually sync gmail, yahoo , an imap account & select "no" notifications....you should be able to do the same.
