So I'm looking at phones on ebay and there are a few I'm interested in buying but they say that they require sim card and my current phone doesn't have one. I had a Iphone 5c and it didn't require one either. How do I switch to a phone that has a sim card slot? Do I need to get a sim card if the phone has a slot for it or can I dial the *228 number and program it?

No worries, marcustwiss. We can help with your device changes! The iPhone 5c does, in fact, have a SIM slot http://vz.to/1znoO46 but the original Incredible does not. If you still have that SIM card from your 5c, you can simply take it out of the old phone and put it into your new phone in many cases. You may need to visit www.vzw.com/activatenow to complete the activation if the SIM hasn't been active recently. If you don't have the SIM or it's been over a year since your SIM was used, a Verizon Wireless store http://bit.ly/3SdsA can help get you the SIM you'll need. Just make sure that the phone you're purchasing is a Verizon Wireless capable device with CDMA and LTE services, not just GSM (also requires a SIM). If you can obtain the Device ID from the seller first, you can visit http://vz.to/U2wgl6 to make sure it's compatible.

Your 5C did have one. It was more than likely already activated for you.
Walk into a Verizon store and get one.
I never saw a slot for it. That was my last phone, I have a Incredible now.
Yes the 5C has a slot for it. It's an unlocked world phone and it requires a "key" which should be in your box to open it.

A small paper clip will usually do the trick, too.
