There should be a 'disable' button to the right of the 'force stop' button.

Click on 'uninstall updates', and then once they're uninstalled, you should be able to disable the app.

You have to "uninstall updates" first before that button will switch to the "disable" option.

Razr Maxx...uninstalled updates on three or four unneeded bloatware. Once I finished...the apps was no longer on my apps list. Hmmm! They disappeared. Don't think I got rid of them, but they are no longer showing on the list. Strange.

They should have moved to the very bottom of the app list (under Manage Apps, not in the App drawer).

Does this capability depend on what version of Android you have? My Stratosphere has 2.3.6, Gingerbread. I wonder if the disable option is for ICS.
I did some testing and found that I could uninstall NFS Shift (which I didn't think I could), though it left some 8KB fragment behind. Wanna bet it's a reinstaller? I uninstalled the updates to NFL Mobile, but that's all I could do; there's no Disable button, and all 436KB of it still sits there mocking me. Let's Golf 2 actually had two copies on my phone. I could uninstall the 139KB one, but the 132KB has no options at all, not even Uninstall updates.

Hey, I'm a Braves fan ... I'm used to a certain recycling of hopes!
