I recently added a university (.edu) account to the email app on my droid turbo. I can receive emails fine, but cannot send emails. When I try to send out an email, I get a notification saying: "[my email address] message not sent". I already deleted and readded the account with the proper settings. Please help!

wiktor067,
Let's get your sent messages working also. I'm here to help. I need a few details first. When setting up the email are you using the Other Providers options for your .edu account via the Manual Setup? Also, have you verified with the university that the outgoing server settings for the server name, port and security settings are correct? If so, please provide them here.
Please keep us posted.

I am using the "Other Providers" email account. I actually had the
university help desk do it for me; we tried trouble shooting today, and
reinstalled, but I still can't send emails.

wiktor067,
We appreciate you by being proactive and reaching out to your IT support in efforts to start sending out emails. Have you ever been able to set up the university's email address on your phone? Where they able to verify both ports for incoming and out going?

Not on this phone, as I just bought it a couple of weeks ago. I was able to
do it on my previous phone, however.

Thanks for all the information wikto067. We will work on getting this issue resolved. Are you able to send and receive emails from other email accounts on your device? Is this the only email account you're having issues with?
