I can see a phone tower from the window of our sons house, aprx 1/4 mile away

I can not get any reception form the tower which is in site about 1/4 mile away. What should do?

A tower is just a cell tower

if your not getting reception from the tower that's in sight

it may not be hosting Verizon Wireless on it, Could be AT&T,Sprint,Nextel,T-Mobile Etc..
