I cant access google marketplace because of previous owner gmail account password

I recently acquired this droid A956. It has a gmail account and password already associated with phone, of course I dont know the password, What can I do?

Sounds like the previous owner didn't factory reset the device:

Perform a Factory Data Reset (Device Powered On) - DROID 2 Global by Motorola
